‘The Shark is Broken’ is on stage this summer at the Theatre of Dare

Fifty years after the release of “Jaws,” the first bona fide summer movie blockbuster, the true story of what was happening behind the scenes can now be told as “The Shark Is Broken” comes to the Theatre of Dare stage in Kitty Hawk.

Written by Joseph Nixon and Ian Shaw, the son of actor Robert Shaw, the play premiered in Brighton, England in 2019 and on Broadway in 2023.
