AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County School System says there are some reports of COVID cases among students.
On Thursday, the school system says they are following current CDC guidance and local health department recommendations in dealing with the cases.
The school system says students who test positive for COVID-19, have another respiratory illness or have a fever are advised to stay home.

Throughout the next month, the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education will be in our area addressing students’ needs in person.
Students should not return to school until their symptoms improve and they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medicine, officials say.
