Republican Heath Allbright is the newest member of the Alabama House of Representatives after winning 88.4% of the votes in a House District 11 special general election Tuesday, according to unofficial results.
He defeated Democrat Alex Braswell for the seat representing portions of Cullman and Blount counties. Allbright won a May GOP primary with 54% of the vote.
Allbright, of Holly Pond, is a former two-term Cullman County Board of Education member and owns a timber harvesting and reforestation company.
