GARDNER, Kan. (KCTV) - A typically quiet community woke to word of a shooting overnight in Gardner, Kansas.

At approximately 4 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, officers responded to shots fired at Bedford and Warren Streets outside Westside Park.

Upon arrival, police found a man inside a car suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers immediately administered CPR until the ambulance arrived.

The victim was rushed to Olathe Medical Center for further treatment.

Gardner police are working the area for evidence and witness testimony. Neighbors in the area have handed over Ring doorbell footage in hopes of identifying a suspect.
