CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- A shooting in Champaign has left a family broken and with more questions than answers. Champaign Police said the victim was found near the train tracks in Champaign early Wednesday morning.

Police said they got a call of a body found around 6 a.m. at the corner of Maple and Prairie Streets. That's where they found 45-year-old Michael Huffman dead from a gunshot wound.

Champaign Police said Huffman had been dead for several hours. They said the department didn't receive any calls about guns being fired overnight, so they're not sure when the shooting happened. I talked to Huffman's mother and aunt today at the scene -- both said they're still grappling with the reality of what happened.
