DeQuincy Fire Department puts out house fire on Sunshine Lane

DEQUINCY, La. (KPLC) - The Ward 6 Fire Department is on the scene of a house fire in DeQuincy at the moment.

The fire happened on Sunshine Lane, and the fire has now been put out.

There is no word yet on injuries or the cause of the fire, but the home’s roof was seen to have extensive fire damage with a large hole that can be seen from the street.

There are approximately 15 fire trucks still on the scene as they work to make sure the fire is completely extinguished.
