Art fair, block party Saturday at Holter Museum

The Holter Museum of Art will host the "Rock the Block" art fair Saturday evening at the museum and adjoining North Jackson Street.

This end-of-summer celebration will kick off with a rededication of the "Red Shift Rocker" sculpture by artist Richard Swanson at 5 p.m., 20 years after its commission.

The art fair will begin at 5:30 p.m. and feature booths from local artists selling their original fine art and hand made crafts, fun summer games, a silent auction, food trucks and unique hands-on art activities where attendees can create one-of-a-kind art pieces to take home.

The evening will be capped off with a street dance from 8-10 p.m. with music provided by a local live band.
