World Dance instructor Judy Kreith was inducted into the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival Hall of Fame this summer, honoring her more than 20 years of teaching World Dance at the annual festival.
“It was a very touching award to get,” she said from her home in Boulder, Colorado. “I just love what I do every summer and every moment at festival. It felt great to have that award.”
The Festival Hall of Fame was created in 2019 to honor those who have dedicated time and effort to making the long-running event a success. The first honorees were, fittingly, founders Dick and Jo Scott.
“When you get that recognition, there’s something so special about it,” Kreith said. “Festival has been a huge part of my life.”
