FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Franklin County students have been running on cracked, uneven surfaces for years. The Franklin County School’s track is made of asphalt and has not been renovated in almost 18 years.
“It’s long overdue for replacement,” said Nathaniel Cabrera, the Captain of the varsity track team at the Franklin County School.
The school’s athletic director and track coach, Anna Bull, said the track has cracks, holes, and uneven surfaces.
“We’ve got spots with cracks and divots, we’ve got potholes, we’ve got grass growing through it, it’s pretty tough to train on,” said Bull.
