KOUTS — A local police officer was repeatedly kicked and injured by a 38-year-old man being taken to the hospital for a blood draw on suspicion of drunken driving, according to newly-filed charges.
The unruly behavior reportedly continued at the hospital where there accused, Joshua Rogers, who lives just north of town, was loud and disruptive to to staff and patients, police said.
Rogers is charged with battery causing injury to a public safety officer, resisting law enforcement using a vehicle, operating while intoxicated endangering others, reckless driving causing bodily injury, resisting law enforcement (2), disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, OWI and possession of paraphernalia, records show.
