A father has won a bid to disinter the remains of his daughter who took her life after discovering how boys had taken and shared inappropriate images of her.

The dad instructed lawyers to go to the Sheriff Appeal Court in Edinburgh after failing in an initial legal challenge at the city’s sheriff court.

The company chairman, who hasn’t been identified, wanted to take his child’s remains from a plot at Mortonhall Cemetery in the Scottish capital and reinter her at a plot in Monaco.

The girl, who has been identified under the alias Emma, committed suicide when she was 16-years-old in January 2002.
