The 32nd annual Friends of Palliative Care Golf Tournament raised a gobsmacking $400,000 Wednesday, said a thankful Jim Cooper, co-chairman of the longstanding event with Dave Publow. Article content

The result represents a six-digit vault over last year’s total of $300,000, and a new milestone for the tournament.

“This is the most we’ve ever raised on a year,” said Cooper.

The co-chairman specified that 10 years ago, a fundraising total of $324,000 became an all-time record of $649,000 when the Don and Shirley Green Family Charitable Foundation matched that initial total.
