WALKER, Minn. — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office identified a woman who died Tuesday after a medical emergency and boat crash.

In the press release Thursday, the sheriff's office said deputies responded to reports of a boat crashing on the shoreline of Leech Lake around 1:30 p.m. in Walker. Theresa Kay Cechini, 59, was found unresponsive and alone in the 2016 Regency Tri-toon.

First responders gave Cechini medical aid, but she later died while being transported to the Walker airport for emergency transport. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office suggests Cechini suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
