MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The executive director of the Shelby County Office of Re-Entry and his wife are now both in jail after being accused of misappropriating $626,858.63 from Lifeline to Success, which is the Memphis-based nonprofit that provides re-entry services for former offenders.

This comes after an investigation by the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, resulting in the arrest of DeAndre Brown and Vinessa Brown.

They were both arrested on Wednesday after being indicted this week on a string of felony charges, including theft, computer crimes, and money laundering.
