Crisis-hit Hamilton Accies are on the brink of new ownership, Lanarkshire Live Sport understands. ‌

The club is in the process of changing hands with current owner and chief executive Seref Zengin out in Turkey thrashing out a deal to hand the reins over to a consortium. ‌

It is understood the owner feels victimised by the SPFL and believes recent sanctions against the club are unfair, sparking his decision to step away from football. ‌

Bellshill businessman Zengin, who has poured millions of pounds into the football club since taking over from Colin McGowan two years ago, has been in Turkey with his family and an announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
