Assault

On Aug. 16, members of Hanover police attended a disturbance call in the 100 block of 12th Street. Through investigation, police formed grounds to believe a 36-year-old Hanover man had assaulted another person. The victim did not require medical attention. Hanover police charged the man with assault. He was released with an upcoming court date in Walkerton.

Multiple offences

In May 2025, Hanover police began an investigation involving fraudulent cheques being cashed locally. During the investigation police identified the suspect as a 23-year-old Hanover woman. It was determined that the same woman had cashed and attempted to cash multiple fraudulent cheques.
