CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Bristol woman was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly evading police in Carter County.

According to a news release from the Carter County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), deputies saw a black SUV fail to maintain its lane of travel in the Coal Chute Road area just after 3 p.m.

A deputy attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the driver, identified as Tiffancy Neal, 37, reportedly failed to stop.

"According to the deputy, the vehicle was traveling at a speed of approximately 15-20 miles per hour while driving on Coal Chute Road, and passed several side roads and a church parking lot where the driver could have safely stopped," the CCSO stated.
