Gramps — the Wynwood mainstay that helped define Miami’s underground music scene for over a decade — has announced it will close for good in January 2026 today via instagram.
"After 13 years, hundreds of bands, thousands of events, hundreds of thousands of back-and-forth emails, Gramps in Wynwood is closing," the post opened.
Since opening in 2012, the venue has served as a community anchor in an increasingly commercialized neighborhood. With its two stages — the open-air patio and the intimate room inside Shirley’s — Gramps welcomed everyone from local garage bands to touring acts, spanning indie pop, metal, hardcore, poetry, and drag.
