A 19-year old, who was already in jail, is being charged in connection with a shooting last month in the Dover area.

Delaware State Police said Brandon Carter was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on unrelated charges.

He's accused of firing multiple rounds into an occupied residence on Washington Place on July 11, 2025.

Eight people, including three children, were inside the home at the time but no one was hit by the gunfire.

Carter is being held on $48,050 bail on eight counts of reckless endangering.
