Belleville firefighters were called out Thursday morning after a 9:17 a.m. report of a fire in a factory on University Avenue in the Northeast Industrial Park.

The fire involved a large oven that extended into the roof area, said Deputy Chief Mark Shannon.

The fire was brought under control and firefighters were checking for hot spots.

There are no injuries reported.

Fire prevention was on scene to investigate.

Hastings Quinte paramedics and Belleville police were also on scene to assist.
