Plea entered in case where suspect shot at officers in Sioux City

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The man charged after a pursuit through Sioux City has entered his plea.

On August 28, 38-year-old Daniel Ryan Wenzel pleaded not guilty to a dozen charges.

Those charges include:

One count of Attempted murder of a peace officer

One count of controlled substance violation

One count of eluding - speed 25 over the limit

Two counts of Intimidation with a dangerous weapon

One count of assault on a peace officer

One count of interference with official acts - firearm

One count of second-degree criminal mischief

Two counts of Felon in possession with a firearm

Two counts of possession of a controlled substance

Those charges stem from an August 8 pursuit that began in Dakota County, Nebraska, and ended on Lewis Boulevard on Sioux City’s north side.
