ESPN has replaced color analyst Doris Burke with former player Tim Legler for NBA Finals broadcasts. Andrew Marchand of The Athletic had the news this morning. Burke had served on the network’s lead broadcast team with play-by-play broadcaster Mike Breen since 2023. She served as the first female color analyst for the Conference Finals and NBA Finals in the history of the league.

Burke received criticism for her broadcasting style during the 2025 NBA Finals. She is generally well-regarded, however. She received the 2018 Curt Gowdy Media Award from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, given annually to outstanding basketball writers and broadcasters.
