A group of residents have banded together in a bid to fight plans for a massive new energy park that could be built just four miles from Banchory .
They have formed the Save Kerloch campaign to raise awareness of the development that has been proposed to be built on their doorstep .
Galileo Empower is hoping to construct the Glenskinnan Renewable Energy Park on land surrounding the popular Knockburn Loch.
It would include 14 giant wind turbines up to 220m high, along with a solar farm and battery energy storage system (BESS).
The energy firm argues that the BESS could power the equivalent of 81,680 homes with clean electricity per year.
But, campaigners believe the development is not appropriate, not needed and would not benefit the local area.
