An Aberdeen social care worker has been struck off after stealing a vulnerable service user's bank card and taking nearly £3,000 from him.
Michelle Felber was convicted of theft at the city's Sheriff Court in September 2024, prompting an investigation by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
It was heard in court that while acting as a carer to a vulnerable adult , named AA in the report, she stole a Bank of Scotland debit card and accessed a lockfast place on several occasions between December 6 and December 19, 2023.
Ms Felber was then found to have withdrawn thousands of pounds from ATMs across Aberdeen and Portlethen using the resident's card and pin without his knowledge or permission.
It was determined that the total amount stolen in cash was £2,947.96.
