GRAND RAPIDS — Itasca Waters will continue its online Practical Water Wisdom Series at noon on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The series runs for an hour beginning at noon, typically on the first Thursday of each month. The webinars are free, open to all and include an interactive Q&A session.

Maggie Karschnia and John "JB" Bilotta from the University of Minnesota’s Water Resources Center and Minnesota SeaGrant will provide practical solutions to help property owners prevent, minimize and manage stormwater runoff.

Attendees will learn about problems from stormwater runoff, when rainwater or melting snow flows over the land instead of soaking into the ground, a release said.

In natural areas, soil and vegetation absorb much of this water. However, on shoreland properties with hard surfaces such as
