SAN ANTONIO — A 13-year-old accused of planning an attack at Rhodes Middle School appeared in court again Thursday morning – trying to get released.

And once again, his request was denied.

The issue being considered in Judge Cruz Shaw's courtroom was if the teen could be released from detention while the case continues.

The defense argued the teen was a good student and did not have a history of getting into trouble. They also said the teen had no issues on living with his grandmother, who reportedly wanted him back under her custody.

The prosecution said there was too many factors in the teen's accusation that would make him a threat if released back in the community.

Judge Shaw sided with the prosecution to keep the teen detained.
