ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Sandy Springs elementary school has been evacuated after it received a bomb threat on Thursday morning.
In a letter to parents, High Point Elementary School Principal Danielle Miller said all students are safe and accounted for. The children and staff were escorted to Atlanta Jewish Academy and are being taken by bus to Ridgeview Middle School.
Students will be supervised and receive lunch at Ridgeview. The school asks parents to pick up their children at Ridgeview, not High Point or Atlanta Jewish Academy.
Fulton County Schools police and Sandy Springs police are searching High Point’s campus to determine if there is any threat.
