Drivers are reportedly stuck in long queues on the A38 at Plymouth this evening. Multiple witnesses have told Plymouth Live they have been stuck in traffic for at least 45 minutes.

One driver told us: "Loads of emergency vehicles going onto A8 near Devonport turn off. Seen the police block entrance by Manadon A38 and seen a fire engine go down just before."

Another said: "I am close to the Tavistock road turn off. No idea what the accident is only got a load of cars in front of me. Been sat here for 45 mins now not moved."

The nature of the incident is currently unclear. Traffic monitoring website Inrix said: "A38 The Parkway Westbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to obstruction on the road from A374 Plymouth Road (Marsh Mills Roundabout) to A386 Outland Road (Manadon Roundab
