PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Maryland are investigating a crash between a car and an e-bike that left a man dead in District Heights on Wednesday evening.

The collision happened shortly before 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 27 in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Walters Lane.

Investigators with the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) said someone was driving on Pennsylvania Avenue when the collision with the cyclist happened in the southbound lanes.

The e-bike operator passed away at the scene. As of Thursday afternoon, his name and age had not been released by police.

The other driver involved remained at the scene and was not hurt.
