Wednesday’s shooting at the Church of Annunciation in Minneapolis has sent shockwaves through the country as the small school community mourns the loss of two children, ages 8 and 10.

Another 18 were injured in the mass shooting, which happened during a morning Mass marking the first week of class at Annunciation Catholic School. Fifteen of the injured were children, ages 6 to 15.

On Thursday morning, Hennepin County Medical Center officials said nine victims remain hospitalized at the hospital — one adult and one child were in serious condition, and one child remained in critical condition.

Children’s Minnesota also has three children hospitalized as of Thursday morning; four others were treated and released on Wednesday.
