A man who racially abused two strangers at Piccadilly Train Station and threatened to cut one of their heads off has avoided jail.
Thomas Burnett, 31, targeted Samual Olubode and Isaac Adeboyega as they sat in a public seating area of the station on April 21, 2025.
Manchester Crown Court heard Mr Burnett had approached the men, one of whom was charging his phone, and plugged in his own phone before making comments about their skin colour.
Prosecuting, Salek Ahmed said the defendant told Mr Adeboyega: "You are too black," and said to Mr Olubode: "I like you because you are light. You are closer to my colour."
