BEAUMONT, Texas — An 18-year-old Beaumont man was sentenced to 10 years probation, with the possibilty of six years in prison, after he pleaded guilty in July to possession of child pornography charges.

Omar Jimenez pleaded guilty to second-degree felony of illegal possession of child pornography with intent to promote back on July 17, 2025 and he was sentenced today by Judge John Stevens per the plea agreement.

If he breaks his probation he faces the full six years in prison. A second charge of possession of child pornography was dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

As a condition of his probation, he must serve 180 days in county jail, which will be completed by reporting to the jail every Friday before 6 p.m. and being released on Monday morning, until the 180 days are served
