WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. —

A relaxing hot tub dip nearly turned fatal for some women in rural Kentucky.

The Wolfe County Search & Rescue Team is the team that makes rescues in Red River Gorge.

According to a post on Facebook, a group of women in their 80s recently stayed at a cabin in a remote part of the county.

After relaxing in the hot tub, the post says two of the women were unable to get out due to pre-existing conditions. They overheated, got hyperthermia and became unresponsive.

The team said the two other women called for help and helped keep the other women's heads above water. The women eventually got the other women out of the tub.
