Billings, Mont. -- NonStop Local is kicking off an initiative to help kids maintain their reading skills as summer winds down and school starts back up. Anchors and journalists will read books aloud for children, providing a resource for busy or single parents.
The team is excited to share a variety of books. "I'm a bit of a moody cow, so we can do that one," Wake Up Montana's John Martin said, referring to the book "Moody Cow" by Kerry Lee MacLean. Dianne Parker, meanwhile, is reading "Olivia," which deals with sibling dynamics.
Chief Meteorologist Tracy Smith will read "Willy and Lilly's Adventures with Weather," a meteorologically accurate book by meteorologist Jennifer Stanonis.
NonStop Local encourages viewers to suggest books through their app. "We will be happy to read it for you
