BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man was arrested after he was accused of using his cellphone to look into a woman's home.

Kristian Shaffer, 33, of Baton Rouge, was charged with video voyeurism.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office (EBRSO) was called to a location on Jefferson Highway on July 14, 2025.

The victim told EBRSO that while in her son's bedroom, she saw a cellphone being held above the curtains of the window. The camera lens was pointed into the bedroom, an arrest report revealed.

She believed that Shaffer was trying to record her inside the home. The woman said that she was previously in an intimate relationship with the suspect.

EBRSO was able to review a video that the woman said she made of Shaffer holding a cellphone camera outside of the window.
