EAST LANSING – From his corner office at 1855 Place, J Batt can view Michigan State campus landmarks to the east.

The Breslin Center is across the street, with Munn Ice Arena next and then Spartan Stadium.

They’re university staples and, in the future, could be tagged with corporate brands.

Batt, the university’s first outside hire at athletic director in three decades, sees revenue potential. There’s no point in trying to dodge the obvious with athletic departments being forced to raise cash to help offset revenue sharing.
