MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) - A new grocery store was all the buzz Thursday morning for many people living in Hopkins County.

Aldi’s newest store in Madisonville drew a huge crowd for their grand opening and ribbon cutting.

Mayor Kevin Cotton was at the event and says some customers were lined up outside the store as early as 5 a.m. to get a good spot.

“We are so thankful to have them here in the community, we’re thankful for the investment they have made in Madisonville,” he says.

Many lucky customers who were there also received an Aldi keychain.

The store is open everyday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 535 Whittington Drive in Madisonville.
