After the tumult of their last few adventures, it only makes sense for the Enterprise crew to take a well-earned vacation. But, as “Four-and-a-Half Vulcans” opens, some crew members seem determined to get in their own way when it comes to rest and relaxation. Though bound for the spa planet Purmantee III, Una has expressed her determination to stay behind and work. This causes La’an to suspect something’s up — maybe something related to Purmantee III? But before La’an can press Una on the issue, La’an engages in her own odd behavior by sending Spock away despite the two of them being, well, something. “We’re casual, but we’re dating,” La’an says before adding she doesn’t want to make things weird. Too late. Now they both have some weirdness they can’t explain to each other.
