ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Honeoye Falls and Lima communities are mourning the loss of Jonathan Stills, a beloved local volunteer and musician.
Stills, 40, was identified by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office as the driver of a box truck involved in a fatal crash with an SUV in Canandaigua on Wednesday morning.
Beyond his professional and civic roles, Stills was deeply woven into the fabric of the community. He volunteered with the Honeoye Falls Fire Department, worked for the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District, and in April was elected a trustee on the Lima Village Board.
He also founded Love Leads Us, a nonprofit that operates a food pantry in Lima.
Music was another passion for Stills, who performed throughout the Rochester area and competed on "American Idol" in 2009.
