CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. —
An intersection in Citrus Heights is closed after a crash on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Citrus Heights Police Department, crews are responding at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road. A vehicle hit a gas line, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District says.
Metro Fire confirms an unknown number of businesses in the area have been evacuated. Police advise the community to avoid the area until further notice.
Pacific Gas & Electric has a crew headed to the scene.
