PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WBTW) -- A man reported missing out of North Myrtle Beach died Thursday morning after his vehicle crashed and submerged into a pond at a Pawleys Island resort.

Ralph Thompson, 68, was reported missing just after 8 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. His car was found submerged at Litchfield by the Sea.

A spokesperson for North Myrtle Beach police said Thompson did not have dementia. No additional information about the crash was immediately available.
