BEAUMONT, Texas — Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, members of the community are invited to drop off their gently untied bows at Rogers Park to help create an art installation honoring the lives lost in the Texas Hill Country flooding, including 8-year-old Mary Grace Baker of Beaumont.

Designated bins will be available at the park’s Dowlen Road entrance during regular hours through Sept. 16, according to organizers with the Mary Grace Baker Memorial Fund. The collected bows will be repurposed into a memorial display honoring Mary Grace, Aidan Heartfield, Joyce Catherine Baydon, and Ella Cahill.
