EASTERN KENTUCKY. (WYMT) - This weekend many folks across the commonwealth will be celebrating Labor Day, with many festivals will taking place this weekend in Eastern Kentucky.

Jordan Pelfrey is an organizer for the Alley Fest that takes Prestonsburg. He said there is a lot to look forward to.

“It helps not just what we’re doing, but it helps everyone. From hotels, gas stations, local businesses, and we have a lot of local food vendors and local craft vendors. So, it just a good time and it is labor day weekend,” he said.

The festival is being hosted at a new venue, Archer Park. Pelfrey said the new venue allows for more space and new opportunities.
