LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)-- The American Automobile Association (AAA) is sharing safety tips with drivers as they gear up for Labor Day weekend adventures.

AAA reports that they responded to more than 383,000 calls from stranded drivers last Labor Day weekend. Regular maintenance and road safety practices can help you avoid throwing a wrench into your holiday weekend plans.

"Labor Day weekend is one of the busiest travel times of the year, and our roadside assistance teams are fully prepared to help those in need," said Adrienne Woodland, spokeswoman for AAA, in a news release sent to 6 News.
