Britain Covey is headed back to Philly.

The former Utes star has signed with the Eagles’ practice squad and was seen practicing with the team Thursday, according to several media reports.

Covey was released by the Los Angeles Rams earlier this week before clearing waivers and is now back with the organization where he spent the first three seasons of his NFL career.

From 2022-23, Covey served as Philadelphia’s primary punt returner and logged 62 returns for 725 yards, good for a 11.7 yard average. In 2023, he led the NFL in punt return yardage with 417. View Comments

As a receiver, Covey has caught 11 passes for 76 yards and four first downs. He was named a 2024 Pro Bowl alternate for his work as a returner.
