CASS COUNTY, Minn. — One person is seriously injured after a shooting in Cass County.

According to authorities, they received a 911 call Thursday morning at around 2:14 a.m. about a possible shooting at a home in the Prescott Housing area in Wilkinson Township.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 40-year-old man with serious injuries.

Authorities say that an unknown man had entered the home before shooting one of the residents and fleeing.

Life-saving efforts were immediately given to the victim, who was then transported to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office tells FOX21 that there is no threat to the public at this time.
