Installation of two new electric water pumps as part of a construction project at the Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area has been delayed.

According to a news release from the Missouri Department of Conservation, the new electric water pumps being installed will arrive in early 2026. Construction was originally set to be finished in fall this year .

To make sure there is proper water management during waterfowl migration and hunting, MDC said it will be reinstalling the original pumps and running them with generators.

Since April, construction workers have been removing sediment from two of the pools in the area to repair them and work on restoring the levee breach.
