DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) -- Decatur Police responded to Eisenhower High School on Thursday for a "student altercation."

Maria Robertson, a spokesperson for Decatur Public Schools, confirmed with WCIA that police used pepper spay to break up the altercation. Robertson did not confirm how many students were involved.

After the incident, classes near where the pepper spray was used were moved for the rest of the day.

WCIA reached out to the Decatur Police Department to confirm more information about this incident, but has been unable to confirm additional details.

Robertson said more information may be provided later in the day.
