The term "gold digger" could be a new trademarked word.

An attorney for TCE Rights Management, a company managed by Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has filed a trademark application for the popular term, according to documents reviewed by TODAY.com.

The application, which was filed on Aug. 25, states that TCE Rights Management plans on using the term — which refers to a person who forms a romantic relationship with another in pursuit of monetary or material gain — for goods and services like jewelry or key chains.

In addition to gold digger, TCE Rights Management is also looking to trademark words like "The Belichick Way," "Chapel Bill" and "Ignore the Noise (Bill's Version)" for clothing, audio and video streaming, keychains and printed material.
