The National Weather Service issued a beach hazards statement at 3:57 p.m. on Thursday valid from 4 p.m. until Friday 7 a.m. in effect until Friday at 7 a.m. for Cayuga County.

The weather service states, "Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions expected."
